One thing we are frequently asked is - do I have to wait until October if I want to change Medicare Supplement companies or plans?
The answer is NO - if what you have is a supplement. The open enrollment period at the end of the year applies to Medicare Advantage Plans and prescription drug plans. If you have a supplement, you can apply to another company at any time.
If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan and want to make a change, you must wait until the Open Enrollment between October 15 and December 7, unless you qualify for a Special Election Period.
